Hello Beautiful ones and welcome to another “Confessional Friday!” Click here if you missed last week’s post where I explain why I use Usher as my thumbnail for this post 😉
🎧 Listen While You Read 🎧
1) I confess that I hate my Survey of the Old Testament & Psychology Class
As you know, classes started back this week for me and the two classes I thought I would love the most, I actually hate!
In my Survey of the Old Testament class, all my instructer do is read off his lecturer notes and expect us to be able to copy them down verbatim as he says them for the whole 75 minute class. No usage of books, doesn’t write on the board, ask engaging questions, or anything like that… Just read and read AND READ.
As for my psychology class, the class itself seems okay so far but reading the Chapter’s at home is so extremely daunting. We are suppose to read Chapter one from our books twice (for understanding). I can’t even manage to make it through one whole page without falling asleep and waking up with drool on my arm. Maybe I’m suffering from a post-summer hangover??
2) I confess I still haven’t gotten back on track with my eating and workout
In order for me to eat healthy, I have to cook everything myself. The problem is that with school, work, and homework, trying to get 7+ hours of sleep a night, it’s like there’s not enough hours in the day! I know once everything has calmed down a bit, I shall be back to it, “Bettah than Eva!”
3) I confess I forgot how much I loved Glee
Since last week, I’ve started re-watching old Glee episodes on Netflix and the Nostalgia has been real! When Glee first came out, I was in my senior year of high school. Now when I watch it, I feel those same senior vibes flooding back.
Isn’t it crazy how small, abstract things such as a show, a song, or even a smell can trigger not only memories, but past feelings & emotions?
4) I confess that I am over this election.
I don’t know about you, but I, for one, am tired of all the pettiness I have seen this election season. Although I don’t make it a habit getting into religious or political issues on here … It’s Confessional Friday. I personally believe both of the front line candidates would be tragic Presidents. However, I do actually like the Libertarian candidate, Gary Johnson but we all know he doesn’t have a chance.
My point is, this election has brought out the worst in a lot of people, I just can’t wait til it’s over!
5) I confess that I am truly heartbroken over the crisis in Louisiana …
If you’ve been watching the news, than you know about the flooding in Louisiana… It really kills me to see people having to suffer like this.
I didn’t know how bad it really was until one of my friends who currently live in Baton Rouge shared a video of her car on “higher ground.” Even on this higher ground, the water was still covering the tires of the car. Then I saw this video that my heart just crumbled …
Water to the tree tops! My prayers are with everyone affected by this tragedy 💛
Now that I’ve shared mine, it’s time for you to share yours. Have any confessions? Tell us in the comments … friends who confess together, stay together! Hope y’all had an absolutely amazing week and until next time … peace ✌, love ❤, and Zaspyness 🌼
